Coal is a sweet and energetic young Labrador Retriever mix who’s ready to find his forever home! He’s about a year old and came to us as a stray. After a long search for his previous owner, we believe he was unfortunately dumped. Now, Coal is looking for a loving family that can offer him the active lifestyle he deserves. Coal knows some basic commands like sit, lie down, and “wait for food.” He is a water enthusiast who absolutely loves swimming and thrives in an environment where he can romp around and explore. Coal is great with other dogs and loves to play, making him a fantastic companion for your current pets. As a young dog, Coal can be a bit destructive if left alone for too long, so he would do best in a home where someone is around to keep him company and engaged. He walks well on a leash, enjoys being active, and is an indoor/outdoor dog who sleeps inside at night. While he is not crate trained, he has his own safe space with a doggie gate. If you’re an active family looking to add a loving, playful companion to your home, Coal could be the perfect match for you!

Ideal Home

A home with a yard or property would be ideal for Coal to romp and explore. He would do best in a home where someone is around to keep him company and engaged, as he can be a bit destructive if left alone for too long.
