Beans is a handsome, lean, and tall young guy, about a year old and 50 lbs, who looks like he was built for adventure! Whether you love biking, hiking, trail running, or exploring wide open spaces, this athletic guy is ready to be your sidekick. He’s a social butterfly with other dogs and loves to play, chase, wrestle, and romp. With cats, he’s been a mix of curious but unsure; he seemed a little intimidated by the cats he saw in their condos, and he hasn’t interacted with them directly. He hasn’t met kids while in our care, so slow, thoughtful introductions would be best if there are children in the home. Beans is still very much a young dog and full of enthusiasm, sometimes too much! He loves people so much that he tends to jump up hard when he’s excited, so he’ll need some guidance and consistency to learn polite greetings. He knows a couple of basic commands already, but like most one-year-olds, he’ll benefit from refreshers, structure, and continued training. What he lacks in manners, he makes up for in heart.
