About Hank (Teddy Bear)

Hank, also known as Teddy Bear, is a 7-month-old Poodle mix weighing around 22 pounds. He's a bundle of puppy energy, gentle, playful, and full of personality! Hank was originally named Teddy Bear by his first owners, but we think Hank suits him better. His previous family found they didn't have enough time or energy for a puppy, so he came to us to find his forever home. He's adapted wonderfully to his foster home and is learning so much. While he might be a little shy at first, a bit of encouragement and a toy will bring out his playful, cuddly side.

Ideal Home

Hank is looking for a home that understands he's still a puppy and has a lot to learn. He would benefit greatly from a home with another friendly, well-mannered dog to help guide him. If you don't currently have a dog, we will need to discuss your proactive plan for socialization once Hank is old enough and fully vaccinated. We also ask that no one in the home be away for more than four hours at a time during the day, as puppies his age need frequent attention, training, and interaction. Hank can bark at things like passing cars, so he wouldn't be considered a "quiet" dog. We don't know how he is with cats.

Ongoing Health

Hank is a healthy young puppy. He is up-to-date on his vaccinations and neutered.

Training & Support

Hank is doing well with crate training and sleeps through the night. He's generally dog-friendly and has shown good social skills with dogs of various sizes. He's mostly potty trained, but occasional accidents may happen during transitions, which is typical for a puppy. He can be a bit jumpy on leash due to his playful nature. We're focusing on socialization and positive exposure to new experiences to help him grow into a confident adult dog.
