About Cricket! The Kind of Puppy Who Makes Every Day Feel a Little More Fun!
Hi, I’m Cricket! I am a professional toy collector, full-speed hallway sprinter, and enthusiastic best friend to basically everyone I meet!
I’m a 6-month-old, 20 lbs mixed breed puppy with a goofy personality, a happy heart, and the kind of energy that keeps life interesting in the best way. My vet thinks I have Lab in me because of my extremely friendly personality mixed with a smaller breed dog as my body is slender with long legs but smaller in frame. He estimates I will be around 35-40 lbs when full grown. My personality is outgoing and playful; one minute I’m racing around showing off my zoomies, and the next I’m curled up nearby like we’ve known each other forever.
I love kids, dogs, cats, and honestly all humans. If there’s a family gathering, a neighborhood walk, or a car ride involved, I’m already emotionally prepared to be the social director. I’m playful and active like most puppies, but I’m also very affectionate and genuinely love being close to my people.
Toys are one of my favorite things in the world, especially if I can proudly carry them around like a trophy. I’m also surprisingly fast for my little 18-pound body, which makes backyard runs and playful chases very entertaining. My silly personality tends to show up at random moments, and people usually end up laughing before they even realize it.
I’m crate trained and doing really well with routines. Since I’m still a baby, I can’t quite hold my pee for long stretches yet, so I’ll need someone who understands puppy schedules and can let me out about every 4-5 hours while I continue learning. I ride great in the car, though, which makes adventures pretty easy with me around.
I was found as a stray near an apartment building in Texas, and thankfully I ended up with people who saw something special in me. Now I’m looking for the kind of home where my personality can really shine — maybe with kids to play with, an active person who likes having a sidekick, or even another friendly dog to help show me the ropes.
I think I’d fit beautifully into a home that enjoys movement, laughter, routines, and cozy evenings after busy days. I can already picture morning walks, toy piles in the living room, and curling up nearby while my people unwind for the night. I’m the kind of puppy who wants to be part of everyday life, not just watching it happen from across the room.
