Gideon

Hi, my name is Gideon, but my foster parents affectionately call me Deon! I journeyed all the way from New Mexico to join the Save-A-Bull family. The trip was a bit overwhelming for me at first, and I was quite scared and nervous. However, my foster family, including my canine sibling, was incredibly patient and loving, which helped me blossom into the happy pup I am today! I absolutely adore playing with my foster family and have a fondness for chewing on bones and napping on the couch. I'm not bothered by the snow at all and I'm mastering potty training quickly. My fosters are completely smitten with my adorable quirks, calling me one of the cutest and most dorky pups they've ever met! They delight in watching my silly trot on walks and love capturing my goofy pictures. I have a lot of energy and have enjoyed going for jogs – I could run for miles! Afterwards, I love to crash and cuddle on the couch. My foster parents describe me as a well-mannered, easy puppy who doesn't chew on inappropriate items and rarely makes a sound. I'm also making good progress with crate training, especially after a good play session. I'm a curious soul with a wiggly body; my attention darts around quickly, and I get very excited for treats! While I'll need some patience as I continue training, I'm eager to spend quality time learning, as food and dedicated attention are huge motivators for me. I'm so ready to keep learning and become the best dog I can be. I can still be a little shy around new people and haven't had much experience with children, but I'm confident that with patience and practice, I'll become a social butterfly! Every night, I sleep soundly in the middle of my foster parents' bed and don't stir until it's time to go outside. I cherish cuddling in bed with them, rolling around, stretching, and showering them with little kisses. There are a few cats in my foster home, and I'd love for them to be my playmates! Sometimes I get a bit too excited around them, but I redirect well. Ultimately, I'm looking for someone who wants to play with me, shower me with love and patience, and be my best friend and companion. A canine sibling to show me the ropes and help me feel secure in new environments would be wonderful. I know I'll be a loyal and fun addition to your family, and I can't wait to meet you!

Ideal Home

I would love a home where I can continue to play and cuddle. I would also appreciate a home with a canine sibling to help me learn and feel comfortable.

Training & Support

I am still learning potty training and crate training, and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement and patience, especially with new people. I am motivated by treats and quality time.
