Riggs

Riggs is a nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a difficult hoarding situation. While he was cared for, the sheer number of dogs meant he missed out on some crucial early socialization. Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy soul who is still learning about the world. He's a natural introvert, preferring a calm approach and taking his time to assess new situations. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, and he'll truly thrive with a confident canine companion to show him the ropes and boost his confidence. Riggs also requires a securely fenced yard for his safety and peace of mind, as he's still a bit wary of loud noises and sudden commotion.

Ideal Home

Riggs would do best in a home with a fenced yard and at least one other friendly, confident dog to help him feel secure. He would also prefer a home with children over 10 years old, as he's not a fan of the high energy and noise that younger children can bring. A calm environment with predictable routines will be ideal for Riggs.

Riggs is a healthy young dog.

Training & Support

Riggs is still working on building his confidence in new situations. He will benefit from continued positive reinforcement, gentle guidance, and plenty of time to adjust. Understanding his shyness and providing a consistent, structured environment will be key to his success.
