Meet Cleo! This sweet 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix is a true survivor with a heart of gold. After being abandoned and becoming a mama, Cleo bravely battled heartworms, remaining an absolute angel through it all. She's now ready for her happily ever after! Cleo is a playful and energetic girl who loves making new doggy friends and has a joyful personality that's infectious. She's house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and is a wonderful companion.
Ideal Home
Cleo would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard – she's quite the talented jumper and can clear a 4-foot fence! She needs a loving and stable family who can help her build confidence, as she can be a little unsure when left alone for extended periods. Due to her size and playful nature, older children would be the best fit. Cleo also gets very excited by bicycles and motorcycles, so her new family should be prepared to provide confident handling on walks. She hasn't been tested with cats and shows a bit too much interest in them from afar.
Ongoing Health
Cleo is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. She has successfully completed heartworm treatment.
Training & Support
Cleo is house-trained and walks well on a leash. She needs continued support to build confidence when left alone and guidance on managing her excitement around bicycles and motorcycles.

Transporation
Cleo is currently located in South Mississippi. We welcome both local and out-of-town adopters. Virtual meet-and-greets are available, and transport can be arranged to many states in the Northeast. Transport to Hagerstown, MD, occurs every 2-3 weeks. We are unable to adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.
