Luther is a sweet, silly, 1-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix weighing about 55 pounds. He's a high-energy pup with a heart full of love and a personality that will keep you smiling. With his bouncy floppy ears and playful spirit, he's ready to find a forever home that will enjoy both his zoomies and his snuggles. He loves fetch and tug, and after a good play session, he settles down nicely. Luther enjoys being close to his humans, loves pets, and gives plenty of kisses.
Ideal Home
Luther would do well in many types of homes, apartment or house, as long as he receives regular exercise and continued guidance. A backyard would be a bonus for zoomies, but daily walks and playtime are just as great. He doesn't mind if he's the only dog or has canine siblings, but he'll always choose his humans first. If Luther is the only dog in the home, we will ask how you plan to socialize him.

Training & Support
Luther is house-trained and has not had any accidents since his first day in foster care. He sleeps in his crate and, while he may protest briefly at first, he settles within a few minutes. When left alone for up to two hours, he typically just naps. He isn't ready to be left loose in the house yet, as he's still learning what is and isn't a toy. On leash, he can be somewhat barky when seeing other dogs, but he walks beautifully side-by-side with a canine companion and this is something that can continue to improve with training. He has no resource guarding issues.

Transportation
Luther is currently located in Houston, Texas. He can be transported to an adopter once approved. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
