Nala is a 6-year-old, spayed female Rottweiler mix who weighs 46 pounds. She's a sweet, gentle, and well-mannered companion with an easygoing personality and a heart full of love. Nala settles into family life with ease and is truly a joy to live with. She enjoys playing with other dogs, has a fun, playful side, and is just as happy relaxing once playtime is over. She's been observed to be loose-bodied, friendly, and respectful with smaller dogs, reading social cues well and knowing when another dog has had enough playtime. Nala is a dream on walks, completely non-reactive and with excellent leash manners. She's incredibly gentle, patient, and loving with children and would be a wonderful addition to a home with kids of any age. She is fully house-trained and does well in her crate, though she may bark or cry for a few minutes when first crated or left alone, settling down quickly. Nala is smart, eager to please, and responds beautifully to verbal cues. She loves playing with balls, enjoys car rides, has no trouble with stairs, and greets everyone she meets with kindness. Her foster hasn't even heard her bark! Nala is affectionate, intelligent, gentle, and ready to become someone's loyal best friend.
Ideal Home
Nala would thrive in a home with a moderate activity level where she can enjoy a daily walk and plenty of time with her people. While she'd likely enjoy having another friendly dog in the home, she doesn't require one.
Ongoing Health
Nala is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Her mild separation anxiety is expected to continue improving as she becomes more comfortable in a consistent routine.
Training & Support
Nala knows several commands and responds beautifully to verbal cues. She is eager to please and listens well. She may bark or cry for a few minutes when first crated or left alone, but she settles down quickly.

Transporation
Nala is currently located in Houston, Texas. Transport is included in the adoption donation and is available once an adopter is approved. Transports run every few weeks, and Nala will be on the next available transport once approved.
