About Nick

Hi there! I'm Nick, a two-year-old, sixty-pound Yellow Lab-Terrier mix with the charm and practicality of a well-trained companion. I'm currently thriving in my foster home, where I wake up ready to embrace the day with enthusiasm and a tail wag that communicates, "Good morning, team, what are we accomplishing today?" I'm emotionally stable, handsome, and a genuinely strong candidate for a loving home.

With people, I'm all about a gentle, calculated affection. I enjoy a quiet lean or a soft head rest, offering a slow blink that says, "I trust you completely." I'm a pro at passing vibe checks without even trying! I get along well with other dogs my size, handling our interactions with mutual respect. However, I politely decline partnerships with small animals, understanding that growth includes setting boundaries.

Walks are a highlight for me, and I'm diligently learning to navigate the leash with grace, leaving the tug-of-war championship behind. My progress is visible, my effort is high, and treats are a fantastic way to accelerate my learning curve – I'm definitely food-motivated in a way that benefits us both! When it's time to relax, I do not play about couch time. I settle in like I own the place, always seeking out the nearest soft surface for some strategic energy management through napping.

I've recently completed heartworm treatment and feel fantastic, entering a healthy era!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a home where I can enjoy daily walks and share my steady, affectionate, and deeply decent nature with my people. I don't need drama or fireworks, just my humans.

Ongoing Health

I have completed heartworm treatment and am feeling great. I am kept up-to-date on flea and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

I am learning to walk nicely on a leash and am very food-motivated, which helps with training. I respectfully decline collaboration with small animals.
