Lucrecia is a beautiful female Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, approximately 3 years old and weighing around 33 lbs. She stands about 22 inches tall and is 24 inches long. Lucrecia was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico, facing difficult circumstances. She was initially very distrustful, but with patience and care, her foster family was able to gain her trust and provide her with much-needed help. During her rescue, it was discovered she had an injured front paw, which has since been treated successfully by a vet. Despite her rough start, Lucrecia has blossomed into an intelligent, affectionate, playful, and very active dog. She loves interacting with her foster siblings and is now enjoying the safety and security of a loving home.
Ideal Home
Lucrecia would thrive in a home with homeowners who have a fenced backyard. Families who enjoy outdoor activities and have experience with the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed would be an excellent match. She also does well with families who understand the needs of rescued animals and are committed to providing continued protection and education. Patience and a strong understanding of dog behavior and training are highly valued.
Ongoing Health
Lucrecia is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been spayed, dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She also received a 4DX test and a health certificate. Lucrecia is on monthly preventive medication (Nexgard Spectra) for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. Her previous paw injury has been treated and resolved.
Training & Support
Lucrecia is not house-trained. It's important to understand that due to the challenges of rescuing many animals, intensive house-training for each individual pet is not always feasible. Lucrecia is intelligent and eager to please, and with consistent positive reinforcement and guidance, she will undoubtedly learn quickly.

Transporation
Lucrecia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast of the US. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee of $400.00, which will be paid by the adopter prior to departure.
