Himari is a 10-month-old female Terrier mix who currently weighs about 22 lbs and is expected to grow to around 33 lbs. Born on April 10, 2024, she was rescued and is being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico. Himari is a sweet and affectionate girl who loves to play and cuddle. She is still learning to trust new people and can be a little shy at first, but her loving nature shines through once she feels comfortable. She is very active and enjoys running and playing with her dog friends. Himari's mother was also rescued, and she was born at the shelter.
Ideal Home
Himari would thrive in a home that understands the unique needs of rescued animals and is patient and dedicated to providing her with the protection and education she deserves. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly recommended. A home with a high tolerance for the learning process of a rescued puppy would be ideal, as Himari is not yet house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Himari has received a spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, and a Bordetella vaccine. She has also been dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.
Training & Support
Himari is not house-trained and will require a family committed to teaching her. She is still learning to trust new people and may be nervous in new situations. Patience and understanding will be key to helping her adjust and build confidence.
