A little about them
Freya is a 2.5-year-old, 68-pound Doberman with a sweet, gentle, and delightfully goofy personality. She loves her people, toys, car rides, walks, outdoor adventures, and quietly relaxing beside her favorite person. She is loyal, curious, independent, playful, and well-mannered, with a soft spot for squirrel-shaped toys.
Freya was surrendered when her family moved abroad for work and could not take her and her siblings. Her 3-year-old brother Biscuit is also available, though they do not need to be adopted together.
Ideal Home
Freya would thrive with an active family who wants to include their dog in everyday life through walks, running, biking, hiking, car rides, and outdoor play. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful. She may be shy with unfamiliar people, dogs, and new situations, so she needs patience, reassurance, and time to feel safe. She can experience storm and separation anxiety and would benefit from an understanding family.
- Friendly with men and women
- Good with children of all ages
- Good with cats in the home
- Initially timid with unfamiliar dogs, but playful and social once comfortable
- High squirrel prey drive, with a reliable response to “leave it” and redirection
Ongoing Health
Freya is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on prevention. She has no known health concerns. A health certificate will be provided before transport.
Training & Support
Freya is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and food motivated. She knows Sit, Down, Come, Crate, Leave It, and House; when told “House,” she comes and sits between your legs. She sleeps comfortably in her crate and is crated when her family is away.
