Schatzi is a handsome 4-year-old, 71 lb, bonafide German Shepherd boy looking for his perfect match! He's an excellent hiking companion who loves to explore the great outdoors and is a master of fetch. When the adventure is over, Schatzi is just as happy to snuggle up by the campfire. He's potty-trained, kennel-trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. Schatzi also knows basic obedience commands and is a star at them! He gets along well with other polite dogs, big and small. He is also phenomenal with children 10 years and older, but prefers to avoid very young children due to their sometimes rambunctious nature.
Ideal Home
Schatzi would thrive with an active person in a stable phase of life who enjoys adventure and will love him deeply. He is flexible on housing, open to a house with a fenced yard or a spacious apartment, provided there are plenty of nearby trails and opportunities for walks. He is not a fan of invisible fences. As a German Shepherd, loyalty is key, and he'll need a family committed to maintaining his social skills throughout his life. Previous German Shepherd experience is a big plus.
