Louis

Louis is a handsome 6-year-old who is searching for his forever home. His previous family experienced a divorce, and now Louis is at risk of losing his home. To give him the best chance at a happy life, his mom is hoping to find a trainer who is willing to adopt him. Louis is a velcro dog who thrives on human companionship, loves to be petted, and is eager to please. He takes a little time to build trust, but once he does, he is incredibly loyal and loving.

Louis has a past of neglect and abuse, having been found roaming the streets and previously left outside in a yard. He was underweight when he came into rescue but is now a healthy 60 lbs. He craves affection and is extremely loving. Louis is fearful of loud noises and thunderstorms, often seeking comfort as a lapdog during these times. He is also reactive to sudden movements, so a home that respects his need for space is essential.

Ideal Home

Louis needs a home without children, as they can startle him. Outside of his home environment, he is fine with adults and children. Adopters must have prior experience with his breed and possess a strong personality, as he may bark at nervous energy initially. A fully fenced yard is a must, and invisible fences are not an option.

Louis is reactive to sudden movements and fearful of loud noises and thunderstorms. He benefits from adopters who understand his triggers and can provide a calm and respectful environment.
