Bluey

Just look at those eyes! Bluey is a handsome 1 1/2-year-old boy who has flourished with lots of playtime and love. He is affectionate, loving, and loyal, and he absolutely adores playing catch and going for long walks or runs. Bluey is completely house-trained and even seems to prefer sleeping in his crate. He knows basic commands like come, sit, and lay down, and will quietly settle when advised. While he used to chew, he now directs all that energy to his toys and chewies.

Ideal Home

Bluey plays well with other dogs, but can be a bit overactive and "in your face" with them. Some dogs have put him in his place to help him settle down. He would likely thrive in a home by himself or with another calm dog who can give him space when it's not playtime.

Ongoing Health

Bluey has a hereditary liver shunt and will need to be on a special diet for his entire life. This condition is well-controlled with his current diet, which consists of Farmers Dog in the morning and a specific liver diet at night. The estimated monthly food cost is about $50.

Training & Support

Bluey is already house-trained and knows basic commands. He is also comfortable with his crate.
