Meet Rocko, a handsome 5-year-old red Doberman Pinscher who is as calm and affectionate as he is striking. Rocko is a true companion, having spent his life cherished by his former owner. Unfortunately, life changes meant he could no longer provide the care Rocko deserves, and now he's seeking a new family to share his quiet loyalty and love.
Our evaluator found Rocko to be an "easy adult male dobie" who is relaxed, social, and incredibly gentle. He makes new friends with ease, accepts handling gracefully, takes treats delicately, and quickly settles in as if he's always been part of the group. Rocko enjoys the simple pleasures: trips to the park, daily strolls, soaking up the sun, and most importantly, being close to his people. While he's lived as an only dog, he's had positive interactions with other canines and has a canine friend he enjoys seeing at the park.
Ideal Home
Rocko would thrive in a home seeking a mature Doberman companion who enjoys a good balance of activity and relaxation. He's done well with respectful children, but due to his size and strength, any children in the home should be comfortable and experienced with large dogs. As he has a tendency to chase stray cats, a cat-free home is preferred.

Training & Support
Rocko is fully housebroken and has not shown destructive behavior in the home, having enjoyed free roam. He loves lounging on couches and being an integral part of daily life. While he enjoys activity, he has a wonderful "off switch" indoors. He can sometimes pull on leash and may feel anxious at the vet. Rocko also experiences car anxiety, sometimes barking or panting during rides. His new family should be prepared to continue building his confidence during travel.
