Derek is a charming 6-month-old male Shepherd and Lab mix who is ready to steal your heart. He's one of eleven adorable puppies from a litter that found themselves needing forever homes, and he's one of the lucky ones still waiting for his perfect match. Derek is described as "the best boy" by his foster mom, who raves about his sweet nature. He's already mastered potty training and crate training, and he showers his favorite people with kisses. Derek is a playful pup who enjoys his toys but is also happy to share. He gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in his foster home. While his foster family hasn't had the chance to see how he'd do with cats, he absolutely adores people and children! If you're searching for an older puppy who is well on his way to becoming a fantastic adult companion, Derek might be the best friend you've been dreaming of!

Ideal Home

Derek would thrive in a home that can provide him with continued love and training. A fenced yard is required to ensure his safety and provide him with a space to play.

Ongoing Health

Derek has been dewormed, started on heartworm and flea prevention, and is microchipped. He will be adopted with current, age-appropriate vaccines given by Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue.

Training & Support

Derek is already potty trained and crate trained, and he's great with other dogs. He loves people and children!

Transporation

Derek is located with Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue. Adopters must be within one hour of the rescue.
