Gigi

Three years on the streets and more litters than any dog should ever have to raise, and somehow Gigi is still nothing but soft, gentle sweetness. She's a beagle mix in the 35 pound range with a quiet, observant nature. Good with people, but a little shy at first, as you'd expect from a dog who had to figure life out the hard way. Give her a minute and she settles in, leaning into kindness like she's been waiting for it.

Ideal Home

Gigi is excellent with other dogs and takes a lot of comfort from them, so a home with a steady canine companion would suit her well. Survival mode doesn't just switch off overnight. She's a flight risk, which means a securely fenced yard is not optional. Not "we'll keep an eye on her", not "we have a tie-out", but an actual, solid fence. While she harbors no animosity towards children, she does startle and her immediate reaction is to flee the vicinity, so probably teenagers and older for our sweet momma!

Training & Support

Gigi is beautifully house trained and sleeps in her crate without making a peep. She is not afraid of storms. She needs stability and patience as she figures out how to just be someone's dog.
