Keno

Hi, my name is Keno! I'm a sweet boy who loves to cuddle and I truly believe I'm a lap dog. I'm happy to lounge around with other dogs and I'm great on car rides! I know commands like "sit" and "stay." I'm potty trained and know how to use a doggy door. I can jump really high, so I may have been raised with cats. I love my humans and will follow you around everywhere you go. I'm not the biggest barker unless I'm scared or another dog starts barking. Thunder, heavy rain, and fireworks can scare me a bit, but I'm perfectly fine if I'm inside the house.

Ideal Home

I need a fenced yard so I have plenty of room to wander and play. I'm very interested in livestock and other small critters, so please don't have any of those around.

Ongoing Health

My arthritis slows me down a bit when it gets chilly out, but I feel great in warm weather.

Training & Support

I still have a few puppy moments where I like to chew on things that I shouldn’t, and while I'm not the biggest fan of dog toys, I will chew on a rope toy anytime. I'm pretty good on a leash but I’m still stronger than you so I’ll try to test you every so often. I may have some separation anxiety that will have to be worked through.

Keno is currently in a foster home in North Carolina. Transportation can be arranged to the Northeast.
