Whitney Joy is an absolute ray of sunshine! This sweet girl has a personality that instantly wins hearts with her happy smile, soulful eyes, and incredibly soft, velvety fur that feels like a bunny's! She's a playful, affectionate, and goofy companion who brings a wonderful sense of joy and easy-going energy to everyday life. Whitney is believed to be around 1 year old and weighs 52 lbs. She might even have some Rhodesian Ridgeback in her, hinted at by a unique ridge of fur down her back! Whitney is a true social butterfly who loves everyone she meets and is always happy to go with the flow.
Ideal Home
Whitney would thrive in a home with a backyard where she can play and sunbathe. She would love a canine companion to share playful adventures and games of chase with, but she's also happy to be the cherished only pet, soaking up all the love and attention. She's been great with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, though she can be a little shy when meeting new dogs in unfamiliar environments, taking a moment to observe before joining in the fun. Whitney has also shown to be respectful and gentle around cats, and we can arrange a cat sleepover to ensure a good match.
Ongoing Health
Whitney is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea/tick prevention. She has also been spayed and microchipped.
Training & Support
Whitney is a treat-motivated learner and already knows how to sit and lie down. She walks generally well on a leash, though she can pull occasionally out of excitement. With consistent training, she'll master leash manners. She is also crate and potty trained.

Transportation
Whitney is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue-run, USDA-certified transport system. We offer drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Please note there is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
