Zac is a handsome 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, weighing around 60 pounds. He was rescued from a local shelter and quickly captured our hearts with his sweet, albeit initially nervous, demeanor. Zac underwent FHO surgery to correct a previous leg injury, and he has fully healed and is doing wonderfully. He's a loyal companion who offers a perfect blend of playful energy and laid-back cuddles. Zac enjoys the company of other dogs and is respectful during playtime. When not exploring outdoors, he's a relaxed indoor dog who loves to be near his people, enjoying affection and gentle pets. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and even a bit of a conversationalist, especially if dinner is late! Zac is comfortable meeting new people and has made great progress with car rides. He loves toys and treats and has shown no signs of resource guarding.
Ideal Home
Zac would thrive in a home where he won't be left alone for extended periods. He enjoys having other dogs around and is happiest when he has canine companions or people nearby to share his life with.
Ongoing Health
Zac has fully recovered from his FHO surgery and requires no further medical intervention or medication.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. While he hasn't lived with young children, his foster believes he'd do well with a family willing to continue teaching him not to jump up when excited.
