Freyja

Freyja is a wonderfully affectionate girl who would love nothing more than to snuggle on the couch with her favorite person. She's looking for an experienced dog parent who has had large dogs in the past and can offer patience to a shy and sometimes scared dog. Freyja was found abandoned and alone, so she deeply craves a loving family that can spend plenty of time with her. She absolutely adores car rides, especially with the windows down! Freyja has a special bond with her 9-year-old human foster sister, who is her favorite person. She's working on her jumping during play, as she sometimes forgets her size. Strong chew toys are a must for this pit bull mix, and she's great off-leash.

Ideal Home

Freyja would thrive in a home with an experienced owner who has had large dogs and understands shy or fearful temperaments. She would also do best in a home where someone can be with her most of the time.

Ongoing Health

Freyja is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She has a negative heartworm test and is on monthly flea and tick preventative.

Training & Support

Freyja needs help with housebreaking, as her fosters have long work hours. She is not a fan of crates and can be vocal when in them. She also needs gentle guidance to stop jumping when excited.

Transporation

Freyja is currently fostered in Texas but is available for adoption in the Northern States. Transports leave Texas monthly.
