REX, "Rexie the Bestie"

Meet Rex, Rexie the Bestie! This bubbly, outgoing guy is a 68lb Black Lab mix with an estimated birthday of September 2020. Rex is tall, dark, and handsome and loves to run around, play, sit for treats, and hang with his people. He craves validation that he's a good boy and showers his humans with guaranteed kisses 24/7. He's a big snuggler who thinks he's a lap dog, even at nearly 70 lbs! Rex was rescued as a stray and had a difficult start, but he's now ready to find his forever person or people to share all his love with. He's done exceptionally well at adoption events, including a visit to an Astro's watch party and dinners at dog-friendly restaurants with his best buddy Bambi, where he was patient and loved people-watching.

Ideal Home

Rex is a dog who loves to be with his people and would likely thrive in a home where he can get plenty of attention. He is dog selective but friendly with proper introductions, and he likes the girls.

Rex is kennel and potty trained. He has shown to be well-behaved and patient in various social settings, indicating good potential for continued training and support.

• We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles converted for dog transport.
• Adopters can track their dog using the Life360 app and receive updates from transport. Facebook chats are also available for transport tracking.
• Adoption fees are based on vetting, with higher fees for puppies under 12 months.
• Listed breed and age are best guesses by rescue and veterinary staff.
• Adopters are eligible for discounts on training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training.
• Adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group.
