Astra

My name is Astra, and I'm a 5 1/2 year old, 40-pound Boxer mix with a heart as bright as a star! I'm a very special girl; I'm deaf, but that doesn't stop me from shining. I'm house-trained and crate-trained, and I'm learning hand signals for "sit" and "lay down." I absolutely adore attention, and I'm not afraid to let you know when I want some!

Ideal Home

A calm home would be the perfect place for me to truly shine. A fenced yard would be wonderful for me to romp and play in. I get along well with dogs my own size and children, but I'd prefer a home without cats.

Ongoing Health

I have very sensitive skin, so my adopter will need to be knowledgeable and committed to my specific skin care needs.

Training & Support

I'm working on my leash manners and am eager to continue learning. Because I'm deaf, positive reinforcement with hand signals is the way to go!

Transportation

I am located in Springfield, MO. We do adopt out of state with vet references and a video home check. The adopter is responsible for coming to get me and returning me if the adoption does not work out.
