Samantha Gamgee

Samantha is a happy, energetic, and friendly adult female Terrier mix who's ready to charm her way into your heart! She's a new arrival at TAP HQ, having been part of a large hoarding case. Despite her past, Samantha is doing wonderfully and has made many friends among our volunteers. She absolutely adores human interaction and cuddling; she'll be in your lap in a flash! While she's still exploring the world of toys, she's intrigued by stuffies and tug-of-war, though balls aren't her favorite just yet. Samantha has been on group walks and is non-reactive to other dogs she's walking with. However, she will bark at dogs she sees on the other side of a fence.

Ideal Home

Samantha is looking for a foster home where she can continue to grow and thrive. She's great with kids and enjoys walks. While she's learning about toys, she sometimes ignores treats. Samantha is not a good fit for homes with cats.

Ongoing Health

Samantha is spayed and vaccinated. She has no known special needs or health concerns.

Training & Support

Samantha is working on leash training and is doing well. She is not yet potty or crate trained, but she does well in a kennel. We are unsure about separation anxiety, but believe she likely has none. Her dog-friendliness is still being assessed; she will bark at dogs on the other side of a fence but is happy to walk with other dogs.
