Tanuki

Tanuki is a handsome senior gentleman, approximately 12-14 years old and weighing 69 lbs. He was surrendered because he seemed unwilling to move, but it turned out he was suffering from lumbar spondylosis, arthritis, and heartworm disease. Thankfully, he's now with us, his heartworms have been treated, and he's on pain management. Tanuki has blossomed into a happy, comfortable dog who lives life to the fullest, showering everyone with love. He's wonderfully polite with other dogs and we suspect he'd get along well with cats too. His two favorite activities are splashing in a pool and playing fetch!

Ideal Home

Tanuki is a gentle soul who enjoys a comfortable life. We suspect he'd be a great fit for a household with kids and dogs.

Ongoing Health

Tanuki has lumbar spondylosis and arthritis, for which he is on pain management. He has also been treated for heartworm disease.

Training & Support

Tanuki is house-trained and knows basic commands. He's a real sweetheart who just needs a loving home to enjoy his golden years.

Tanuki is currently being fostered in Brooklyn, NY. He is available for local or out-of-state adoption, but adopters must be able to travel to meet him.
