Athena

Athena has a truly remarkable story. She was found shivering on a doorstep in Taos, and a microchip scan revealed she had been lost for over eight years! Sadly, her previous owners were unable to take her back due to a change in their living situation. Despite her past, Athena is incredibly loving and gentle, showering children with hugs and kisses. She's also a great companion for other dogs, regardless of their size, and tends to ignore cats.

Ideal Home

Athena would thrive in a home that can appreciate her gentle nature and sweet disposition. Her ability to get along with dogs of all sizes and her affection for children make her a wonderful addition to many families.

Ongoing Health

Athena has mild congestive heart failure, which gives her a characteristic pot belly. The veterinary team believes she has the potential to live several more happy and healthy years with continued care.

Training & Support

Athena is house-trained and knows how to be a wonderful companion. Her past experiences have made her resilient and loving, and she's ready for a forever home to shower with affection.
