Lyle (and Julia) BONDED

Julia and Lyle are a bonded pair of approximately 5-6 year old, 50 lb hounds. They are incredibly sweet and clearly devoted to each other. These two have overcome a truly horrific past, arriving at the rescue underweight and suffering from heartworm and tick-borne diseases. Through dedicated treatment and care, they've not only recovered physically but have blossomed into happy, energetic dogs. They are reliable in a 5-6 foot fenced yard and willingly settle into their crates for the night. While they haven't experienced a home environment before, they are learning to appreciate the joys of life and have shown remarkable progress. They walk beautifully on leash, even demonstrating incredible restraint around squirrels, deer, and bunnies. They have also learned to coexist peacefully with cats.

Ideal Home

A home with adults or older children would be ideal, as they have not been exposed to younger children.

Ongoing Health

Julia and Lyle have successfully completed treatment for heartworm and tick-borne diseases.

Training & Support

These two are wonderful on walks and have proven to be well-behaved with other animals. They are crate-trained and sleep through the night.
