Jimmy, a charming 1.5-year-old, neutered male Pitbull Terrier mix weighing 45 pounds, is currently living in a foster home in Houston, Texas. He's a bundle of joy with two main modes: full throttle and full snuggle! Jimmy is an outgoing, affectionate, and playful pup who is eager to make friends with everyone he meets, both human and canine. He has a wagging tail that moves at lightning speed and is always ready for a game of tag, tug-of-war, or a playful wrestling match with a dog buddy.
Ideal Home
Jimmy would thrive in an active home that can provide him with plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. While a yard is a plus, consistent engagement and companionship are most important. He'd be a fantastic companion for someone who works from home or an active family ready to include him in daily life. He would also love to have another playful dog in the home, especially one who enjoys high-energy play. Jimmy may be too enthusiastic for very young children without supervision and has not been tested with cats, but may chase at this stage.
Ongoing Health
Jimmy is generally healthy.
Training & Support
Jimmy is house-trained and is making great strides with crate training, beginning to view it as a safe space. He can be left alone for moderate periods (4-6 hours), especially with a canine companion. While he's still polishing his leash manners and can pull when excited due to his curiosity about the world, he is very food- and praise-motivated and eager to learn, so with consistency, he'll continue to improve quickly. He has no known resource guarding issues.
