Atlas

Atlas is a handsome 7-8 year old German Shepherd with a beautiful sable coat. He has spent most of his life outdoors, learning to survive rather than thrive. Now, he's ready to experience safety, warmth, and companionship. Atlas is still adjusting to his new life and learning that hands are for petting and that a soft bed is a permanent fixture. He's initially shy but accepts gentle pets and gradually comes out of his shell each day, making incredible progress.

Atlas is an independent and unhurried soul who doesn't require constant attention. He thrives with patience, consistency, and an understanding that building trust takes time and effort. He gets along well with adults, other dogs, and cats.

Ideal Home

Atlas would do best in a home without young children, as he hasn't been introduced to them yet. A calm and stable environment will help him continue to feel secure.

Ongoing Health

Atlas is scheduled to be neutered prior to adoption on July 2nd.

Training & Support

Atlas is shy when first meeting new people but warms up with patience. His new family should understand that he is an independent and low-key dog who thrives on a calm pace.
