Meet Blu!
Blu is a vibrant, approximately two-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix with boundless energy, a big heart, and a beautiful brown brindle coat with white accents. She followed a kind soul home from a grocery store and has been spayed, vaccinated, and doted on ever since. Blu has shown gentle patience with senior dogs and confident cats in her current home, but she's ready for her own space, a consistent routine, and a family to call her own.
At 65 pounds, Blu is an affectionate, incredibly smart, and eager-to-please pup. She loves playing fetch with her frisbee, engaging in tug-o-war, chewing on yak cheese, and zooming around the yard. She also enjoys supervised shredding of soft toys and cardboard strips as a creative way to channel her natural chewing instincts, and she hasn't chewed on anything off-limits in months. Blu knows an impressive list of commands, including sit, wait, down, up, leave it, and come. She responds well to structure and training, especially with treats and praise.
Ideal Home
Blu would thrive in an active home with people who have time to include her in their daily routine and enjoy an active lifestyle. A fenced yard is a big plus.

Blu is spayed and vaccinated.
Training & Support
Blu is still working through her sensitivity to passing cars and men in baseball caps, but she's making steady progress with positive reinforcement. She can get excitable, which sometimes results in jumping up and "cobbing," though her caregivers have worked extensively to help her manage these behaviors. She can also be destructive when under-stimulated, so regular mental and physical enrichment is essential. She is crate-trained and house-trained and has been comfortable being left alone for short periods.
