About Rosie

Rosie is a 3-month-old Shepherd/Heeler mix who is already proving she’s something special. At just 30 lbs, she’s got a sturdy, athletic build and is expected to grow into a medium-to-large, active companion—perfect for someone ready for a fun, smart, and engaged pup.

This girl is soaking up the world around her and already gaining impressive life experience! Rosie has started early exposure to horses (both arena and trail!), helped out with “tractor training” on barn days, and shown she enjoys people of all kinds and gets along with most dogs. She’s a confident, curious puppy who wants to be part of everything you’re doing. Like many herding breeds, Rosie is very intelligent and observant, which means she learns quickly—but also needs guidance, structure, and continued training to thrive. Rosie is still very much a puppy and a work in progress: she’s doing great with house training and is currently accident-free for several days. She has a high curiosity about cats (not aggressive, just very interested), so a cat-savvy home or continued training will be important. She can be a little sensitive to new or overwhelming situations and may startle easily—but she recovers quickly with reassurance. Her mom is a petite Heeler mix, but Rosie appears to be taking after her mystery dad—likely with more Shepherd influence—so she will likely be a bit bigger and more athletic. Rosie has all the potential in the world—she just needs someone ready to invest in her and help shape her into the incredible dog she’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a smart, driven, and loyal pup to grow with, Rosie might just be your perfect match.

Ideal Home

Rosie would thrive in a home that understands herding or working breeds, can provide mental stimulation and physical activity, and is committed to continued training and socialization. They would love a dog who can grow into an adventure partner, farm helper, or active companion. A cat-savvy home or continued training is important due to her high curiosity about cats.

Ongoing Health

Rosie will come with age-appropriate vaccines and will be spayed by the rescue when old enough.
