Athena

Hi there! My name is Athena, and I'm a beautiful 3-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love to give. I've had a rough start, having been a frequent visitor at a high-kill shelter where I was only valued for my puppies. Thankfully, I was rescued and brought into the loving care of IDGSR! I'm an affectionate, friendly, and lovely girl who enjoys tummy rubs, playing in the yard, and exploring. I'm also house and kennel trained and listen pretty well, but I'm eager to learn even more with some standard obedience training. I'm fairly mellow but would love to join you on walks, hikes, or any adventures you have planned. Whether you're gardening, taking road trips, cooking, or just relaxing, I'll be right by your side! If you're looking for a resilient, smart, and amazing companion, I'm your girl!

Ideal Home

A home with teenage or adult humans is preferred. I would also love to have a nice male dog to play with! I cannot live in a home with cats.

Ongoing Health

All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, and are spayed or neutered.

Training & Support

I need some standard obedience training to earn my "Ph.D. in obedience"!

I am currently being fostered in Greeneville, TN. Transport to the East Coast is available for an additional fee.
