Fritz

Meet Fritz! This spunky, fun-loving German Wirehaired Pointer mix is approximately 8 weeks old and ready to find his forever family. Fritz was found as a young puppy and has been thriving in our care, showing off his playful, curious, and adventurous spirit. He's got the classic markings, facial structure, and oversized paws we expect from a GWP mix, and we anticipate he'll grow to be over 50 lbs. Fritz is incredibly intelligent and loves enrichment toys and puzzles that challenge his mind. He's already learned his name and comes when called, and is eager to learn more with his food-motivated nature.

Ideal Home

Fritz would thrive in an active home ready to invest the time, patience, and consistency needed to raise a puppy, especially one from a working breed. He is loving, friendly, and social, doing wonderfully with people, children, and other dogs. Due to teething and learning boundaries, supervision is important around younger children.

Ongoing Health

Fritz is up-to-date on vaccinations for his age, has been dewormed, is microchipped, and is on monthly flea and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Fritz is still learning to sleep independently and will require continued crate training and puppy structure. He's an early riser, often starting his day around 4:30 AM. He can be a bit mouthy, as is common with teething puppies, and will benefit from consistent training and guidance as he learns boundaries.

Transporation

Our primary rescue is based in Houston, Texas, but we have foster homes across multiple regions. Transport is available to approved adopters for an additional fee.
