About FLOKI
Meet Floki—a big-headed, squeaky-toy-loving gentleman who firmly believes beds are meant to be shared and conversations are meant to be had. If you've ever wished your dog could answer back, Floki is happy to oblige. He has plenty to say, especially if treats, squeaky piggies, or booty scratches are involved. His expressive personality and goofy charm guarantee there's never a dull moment when he's around. At around 5 years old, Floki has discovered that life's simple pleasures are the very best ones: a soft bed, a favorite toy, a full belly, and someone to love. His favorite place? Curled up beside his person with his head on the pillow like he belongs there... because, in Floki's mind, he absolutely does. Floki is house trained, crate trained, sleeps through the night, and settles nicely into home life. While he can be anxious when left alone, he's comfortable and secure in his crate and does best when his family gives him that safe space while they're away. He's a medium-energy boy who enjoys playing when it's time to play, but he's just as happy relaxing with his people afterward. Toss him a squeaky pig toy, offer him a few treats, and you've officially become his favorite person. Floki already knows Sit, Lay Down, Go to Bed, and Kennel, and he's incredibly food motivated, making continued training both easy and fun. He gets along well with other dogs after proper introductions, has lived peacefully with indoor cats who respect his space, and would do well with respectful children who understand that his back end is a little sensitive. Like so many of Stella's Sanctuary dogs, Floki didn't have an easy beginning. He arrived carrying scars that tell a story no dog should ever have to live. But despite everything he's endured, he hasn't stopped believing in people. Instead, he's chosen love. Today, he's looking for the family who will finally show him that this chapter of his life is the one that matters most. If you're searching for a loyal companion with a huge heart, a goofy personality, and enough love to fill your entire home, Floki may just be waiting for you. Come meet Floki, you might leave with your new best friend... and a lifelong conversation partner.
Ideal Home
Floki is looking for someone who appreciates the gentle souls of the world. He doesn't need constant adventure, he needs a family who will laugh at his "talking," smile at his goofy personality, toss him his favorite squeaky toy, and save him a spot on the couch or the bed. He would do well with respectful children who understand that his back end is a little sensitive.
Ongoing Health
Floki is not yet neutered.
Training & Support
Floki knows Sit, Lay Down, Go to Bed, and Kennel. He is very food motivated, which makes continued training easy and fun. He can be anxious when left alone, but is comfortable and secure in his crate.
