Ribeye

Ribeye is a roughly 7-10 year old sweetheart who came to us from a difficult past in rural South Carolina. While his beginnings were tough, we're focusing on his bright future! Ribeye adores belly rubs and butt scratches, loves children and kitty cats, and is a big fan of suppertime. He's also a bit nosy, enjoys "peeping" at people showering, and loves spending time outdoors. He's happy to share the couch or the big bed, and he even enjoys his crate for downtime. Ribeye is housebroken, not a guard dog, very quiet, and well-mannered. We can easily remove his crate as he settles well and isn't destructive when left alone.

Ideal Home

Ribeye would make a wonderful family dog, but he needs to be the only dog in the home. He can display dominant tendencies, and we want to ensure he has a peaceful environment where he can truly relax.

Ongoing Health

When Ribeye arrived, he had yeast, skin, and ear issues. With regular medicated baths, ear cleaning, and proper nutrition, his skin and ears have shown remarkable improvement.

Training & Support

We are currently working with Ribeye on basic commands like "sit," "wait," "leave it," and "watch me." He's also learning to walk nicely on a leash, acclimate to car rides, gently accept treats, and "shake paw."

• The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care.
• Please be patient as our volunteer team reviews applications within 7-14 days. Expedite the process by providing accurate contact information for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question thoroughly.
• Once your application is approved, we'll schedule a meet-and-greet to ensure a good match.
