Peter would thrive in a home that understands that building trust takes time. He may do best with slightly older, more understanding children who can match his calm energy. He could do well in an apartment setting or a home with a yard, as long as he has his people nearby.

Training & Support

Peter is already a good leash walker and has shown to be respectful of other dogs and cats. He may initially be a bit unsure of new people, but with patience and positive reinforcement, he warms up quickly.

Transporation

Peter is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
