Hi there, I’m Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I’m about a year old Boxer mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I’m ready to find my forever home!
I’m the good boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I’ve already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups. I would need a home with another dog because I love to play!
I’m also great in the car—I’ll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I’ll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I’d do best in a home without small kids, as sometimes I am anxious.
I’m a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. I love my toys and love antlers and bones to chew on.

Ideal Home
A home with another dog is a must, as I love to play! A fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. Because I can be anxious around new people and sometimes bark or growl, a home without small children would be best.

Boomer Jr. is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives. His adoption fee includes a full veterinary exam, neuter surgery, microchip, deworming, rabies, distemper combo, bordetella, 4DX (if over 6 months), and flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
Training & Support
I am fully potty trained and kennel trained! I know "sit," "lay down," and "get down." I'm very food-motivated, which makes learning new things a breeze. While I love all dogs, I can sometimes forget my size and play a little too hard with smaller pups.
