You may have a friend or family member who you lovingly refer to as “Bubba.” This name is often used as a term of endearment for a beloved person- and in this case, a beloved dog. Bubba is a sweet, sensitive, and much-loved pup who is struggling here in the shelter. Bubba lived in one home for his entire life before he was surrendered when his family was no longer able to care for him. They said repeatedly that he was a loveable boy who just wants to be loved by his people. He spent most of his time outdoors, so he is looking for a family who will welcome him indoors and be patient with him as he learns good indoor doggy skills. Bubba is a super sensitive, sweet and courageous pup! He came to the shelter with his sister who has since left, and this has been extremely hard on Bubba. He craves companionship and misses having a doggy friend to hang out with. He is a lovely walker, a little zig-zaggy at times, but he walked with a loose leash the entire time. He was often found walking close, enjoying pets and exploring. He's really hoping for a forever home where he can decompress and soak in all the love! Bubba has shared his kennel politely and has been easygoing when meeting other dogs. He tends to take his cues from other dogs and may do well in a home with a friendly, confident pup to show him the ropes.
