Oso

Meet Oso, a smart and loving Border Collie mix (he may also have some Mini Aussie in him!) who is eager to find his forever family. Oso came to us as a stray and is now looking for a second chance to blossom. He bonds very closely with his people and is a true snuggler. He absolutely loves a good game of fetch and is enthusiastically learning puzzles, obedience, and even some agility! Oso is already housebroken and is making great progress with his leash manners.

Ideal Home

Oso thrives with a person who can give him plenty of attention and love. He would do best in a home where someone is present most of the time to help him feel secure, especially as he works through some mild separation anxiety. He would be fine with older children who are dog-savvy, but he is not a good fit for homes with cats or other dogs, as he can get overstimulated. A quiet environment where he can continue to improve with overstimulation on walks would be ideal.

Oso is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Like many herding dogs, Oso can get a bit mouthy when excited, but he is learning to redirect this behavior well. His separation anxiety is improving, and he will benefit from a patient and understanding owner who can help him feel safe and secure in his resting spaces.
