Malakai is a very friendly boy who seems to like all people and gets along with other dogs. He was initially adopted from us in 2018 and is looking for a fresh start after his family experienced a divorce. He lived in a home with a German Shepherd and ran free on their property, but he was an inside dog who slept with his owner. He is housebroken, about 55 lbs, and was born on December 29, 2016.
Ideal Home
Malakai loves to be with his humans and may prefer more one-on-one attention than sharing with other dogs. He does jump up on people when he's excited to show his affection, so a home prepared for this sweet but boisterous greeting style would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
All our dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, Bordetella, wormed within the last 6 months, and microchipped. Dogs over 9 months have been tested for heartworms, and any other known medical issues have been treated or noted.
Training & Support
While Malakai seems housebroken, he does jump up when excited to show affection. Redirecting this behavior with positive reinforcement will help him learn to greet people more gently.
