Baltos is a happy, adaptable Labrador Mix puppy with a playful spirit and a sweet heart. He's approximately 9 months old and currently weighs 20 lbs, with an expected adult weight of around 38 lbs. Baltos is social and gets along very well with other dogs, children, men, and women, making him a wonderful family companion. When first meeting new people, he can be a little cautious but quickly warms up with a curious approach and a wagging tail. Once comfortable, he loves attention and enjoys being petted. Baltos is a well-rounded puppy who is crate-trained, walks well on a leash, and lets you know when he needs to go outside to potty. He loves to play with his toys and entertains himself. Baltos is friendly, playful, and eager to learn, ready to bring joy, playfulness, and affection into his forever home.
Ideal Home
A home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Families should have a genuine intention to rescue a dog, understanding the needs of street animals and their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are essential.
Ongoing Health
Baltos has received a spay/neuter certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. He is microchipped, has a 4DX test and certificate, a negative heartworm test certificate, and is on monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm). A health certificate and vaccine booklet are also provided.
Training & Support
Baltos is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and need time to adapt to new environments and people. Patience and understanding are crucial to build trust and a strong bond. Establishing a routine and clear boundaries will help him feel secure.

Transporation
Baltos is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on a cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available for a one-time fee of $400 USD. Transport is arranged through a partnered company for scheduled trips 3-4 times a year, with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. Real-time updates will be provided through a private Facebook Messenger group.
