Odie is a roughly 1-year-old, 11 lb Terrier-Toy Poodle mix with a heart full of joy and energy to spare! He was rescued from the streets of Mexico with his mom and siblings and, despite a tough start, he wakes up every day with an infectious enthusiasm for life. Odie's foster mom describes him as a bundle of happy energy, always ready for an adventure or a game of fetch. He loves to parade his treasures, like a found stick, and has an endless supply of love to give. He's a social butterfly with other dogs, enjoying playtime with his family, and is also gentle and patient with children.
Ideal Home
Odie would thrive in an active home that can match his zest for life. He'd love a family who enjoys hiking, playing fetch, and can appreciate his daily dose of goofy antics. Odie is not a fan of cats and needs a cat-free environment.
Ongoing Health
Odie has received extensive medical care, including spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccines (DHLPPi, Rabies, Bordetella), full blood work and health tests (CBC, blood parasite tests, parvo/giardia/coronavirus test), flea/tick/heartworm treatment, and deworming. He also has a microchip.
Training & Support
Odie is not yet 100% housebroken. As a former street dog transitioning from indoor/outdoor living, he will need patience and consistent training to adjust to a new potty routine, though most dogs adapt within 1-2 weeks. He can be vocal and a bit anxious on walks when seeing other dogs, barking out of excitement and a bit of street-dog anxiety, but this is manageable with confidence-building and training.

- Complete our online application.
- If we determine there's a good fit, you'll have a phone interview.
- We will then arrange Odie's flight to Oregon, with updates provided.
- Upon arrival at the Portland airport (PDX), you'll complete the adoption fee payment, receive medical records, and welcome your new family member home.
Transportation
Odie is currently in a foster home in Mexico. Once an adopter is approved, Odie will be flown to Portland (PDX) for pickup. The flight and transportation to Portland are coordinated by us and included in the adoption fee.
