opie

Opie is a sweet male Husky who was found at Animal Control, dangerously close to euthanasia. When we heard he had a sponsor, we knew we had to step in and give him the second chance he deserved.

When Opie arrived, he was in heartbreaking condition — severely matted to the skin, and clearly neglected. We got right to work helping him feel comfortable and safe again. Unfortunately, some areas had to be shaved, which is never ideal for a Husky’s coat, but it was necessary to relieve his pain and start fresh. He’s already showing us glimpses of the sweet, resilient spirit beneath all that hardship. With time, care, and love, we know he’s going to shine again — just like the beautiful Husky he was always meant to be!

Ideal Home

Opie has shown he is good with dogs and children under 8. His interactions with children 8 and up and cats are currently unknown.

Ongoing Health

Opie is Heartworm Positive. He is currently partnered with our veterinarian to get him on the best road to recovery.

Training & Support

Opie is house-trained.
