Peony is the dog that just radiates sunshine! This girl is the happiest, wiggliest, most hilarious dog, and she has never had a bad day. Peony is a 5ish year old, 45lb staffie mix who has never met a stranger. She is fantastic with people, kids, dogs, and cats. She will kiss and wiggle her way into everyone's hearts and is wonderful with toddlers, being gentle and loving. Peony is amazing with dogs of all sizes, super playful, but can absolutely adjust her play style. She is also great with cats and was fostered in a home with 2 cats, never caring to interact with them.
Ideal Home
Peony thrives on routine and structure, which means providing her with plenty of guidance inside and outside the home. This includes working on impulse control, crate training, and proper exercise. When given this structure, she is absolutely wonderful. Without something to do, Peony can get overstimulated, but with time, she will adjust to her forever home's routine.
Ongoing Health
Peony is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will be able to go to her forever home in mid-August.
Training & Support
Peony is still working on loose-leash walking, as she loves life and wants to run! Her adopter should be dedicated to working with her on training, as she has the foundation and will just need consistency. Our rescue sets adopters up for success with various training resources. She is potty trained, although please do expect an adjustment period. She is crate trained and may cry for a few minutes but will settle in.

Transporation
All of our dogs are fostered in Houston, TX. We work with trusted transport partners to transport our dogs to over 30 cities in the United States. Adopters are always encouraged to come to Houston to pick up the pup and bring them home.
