About Ginger Peaches the Little Best Friend
One look at those floppy little ears, that tiny compact body, and those sweet soulful eyes and you're DONE for. Ginger Peaches has this absolutely precious mix of tiny little baby and big dog trapped in a small body energy that is honestly impossible not to love. She's this perfect medium-small size where she's easy to bring along on adventures, easy to snuggle, easy to spoil rotten, and fully convinced she belongs directly beside her person at all times. Which honestly... she does. Ginger is a total people dog through and through. The type that loves hard, bonds deeply, follows you everywhere, and acts like your return home from Target was the greatest moment of her entire life. Her foster absolutely adores how excited she gets when she comes home because Ginger genuinely knows how to make her people feel special.
Ginger Peaches is believed to be a pit bull/chihuahua mix approximately 11 months old and currently weighs 31 lbs. With rescue, its always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age, but honestly, whatever combination created this tiny girl absolutely nailed it. She somehow has features that make you go, "that's definitely a pittie" mixed with little tiny dog qualities that make you question everything at the same time. When it comes to people, Ginger is truly one of the sweetest girls ever. She absolutely loves her foster and is a huge cuddle bug that wants to be close to her person as much as possible. She's affectionate, loving, and has that loyal little shadow personality where she naturally follows her foster around the house just wanting to be included in whatever is going on. Because she bonds so deeply to her people, she does get a little sad when she is away from them and prefers not being away from her humans for long periods.
Ideal Home
Ginger is the type of dog that will thrive most with someone excited about having a true companion always by their side. Ginger has also been around kids ages 12 and 16 and has done great with them. She was affectionate, sweet, and comfortable around them. She seems to naturally gravitate toward calmer dogs and her foster says she especially loves playing with the older chihuahua mix in the home. One thing her foster really loves about her is how mindful and respectful Ginger is with her other dog that is also half blind. She doesn't come in hot trying to bulldoze everyone into nonstop play and overall has a very respectful, thoughtful way about her socially. Ginger LOVES stuffy toys and will happily entertain herself carrying them around, tossing them, or showing them off proudly. Her foster also says Ginger LOVES to zoom and truly believes her dream home would have a nice backyard where she can run full speed, stretch her legs, and get all her happy little zoomies out. But at the same time, because she's smaller, quiet, and has a nicely balanced energy level overall, we could absolutely see her thriving in an apartment setting too as long as she's getting proper exercise, socialization, walks around the neighborhood or park, and playtime throughout the day.
