Zac is a handsome 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighs about 60 pounds. He was rescued from a local shelter and is currently in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas. Zac is a loyal companion who perfectly balances playful energy with laid-back cuddles. He enjoys spending time with other dogs and is happy to join in for a game before settling down for some relaxation next to his people. Zac is house-trained, crate-trained, and loves to go into his kennel for a tasty treat. He is a conversationalist, especially when dinner or treats are running late, and his vocal personality will surely bring a smile to your face. Zac has done well meeting new people and enjoys car rides. He loves toys and treats and has shown no signs of resource guarding.
Ideal Home
Zac would thrive in a home where he won't spend long periods alone. He enjoys having canine companions and seems happiest when he has another dog around or people nearby to share life with. Zac would do well with a family willing to continue teaching him not to jump up when he gets excited.
Ongoing Health
Zac underwent FHO surgery on a back leg to address an old, untreated injury. He has since healed completely and requires no further medical intervention or medication.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. While he enjoys people, his foster believes he would do well with continued guidance on not jumping up when he gets excited.
