Meet Valentina! She's a beautiful Black Mouth Cur mix, weighing about 45 lbs. Valentina is calm, gentle, loyal, and noble—everything you could ever hope for in a best friend. While she might be a little shy around new people initially, her sweet and trusting heart shines through once she feels safe. Valentina's story is one of incredible resilience; she was born in Houston under a broken and abandoned house during freezing cold days, and against all odds, she survived. Now, she's ready for a forever home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and cherished.
Ideal Home
Valentina is looking for a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and enjoy an active lifestyle with outdoor activities. An ideal home would also include a family with an open conscience about rescuing street animals and understanding their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Valentina has undergone spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccinations, Bordetella vaccination, and deworming. She has also tested negative for heartworm and has a health certificate. Her vaccination booklet is available.
Training & Support
Valentina is leash-trained, crate-trained, and house-trained, letting you know when she needs to go outside. She gets along wonderfully with dogs, children, and adults. However, it's important to note that this organization acknowledges that it is not always possible to house-train every rescued pet due to the demands of their rehabilitation. Therefore, adopters should be prepared for this possibility.

- Upon approval, an adoption contract will be signed, and the adoption fee will be paid prior to your pet's arrival. This fee helps cover vet care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and food.
Transporation
Valentina is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. She is available for transport to various cities/states. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD covers door-to-door delivery from Houston. Transport is handled by a partnered company on scheduled trips, with comprehensive paperwork including a transport contract and health certificate. Real-time updates will be provided through a private Facebook Messenger group.
