About Russ
Adopt Russ! This handsome Labrador Retriever mix is the kind of companion who fits seamlessly into your daily life. He would happily take on the role of your favorite office buddy, and even rides an elevator with impeccable manners.
Russ is bright, engaged, and eager to learn. He already knows sit, stay, shake, and lay down, and he picks up new skills quickly, especially with a few treats involved. He thrives when he has small "jobs" or enrichment activities and genuinely enjoys being part of a family routine. He’s also crate trained and potty trained, making the transition into a new home that much smoother. Russ has a couple of good dog friends here at the shelter who he plays with.
He’s also a true toy enthusiast. Whether it’s squeaky toys, tug, or a game of fetch, Russ shows up fully. He’s just as content entertaining himself with durable chews like Nylabones or yak chews. When the day winds down, he gathers his blankets into a cozy pile and settles in for a well earned nap.
Russ would prefer to be the only dog in your life. He’s the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. With his expressive face, playful spirit, and ready for fun energy, he’s impossible not to love.
Russ recently completed treatment for heartworm and is heartworm negative!
Russ is ready for his next chapter. If you are looking for a loyal, smart, and affectionate companion, he may be the perfect match!
